Side hustles
You've started something. Now let's help people find it.
Starting a business is exciting, but figuring out how to get customers can be a completely different story. You might be brilliant at what you do but have no idea what to post, whether you need a website or how much you should be spending on marketing.
Whether you're starting a home baking business, walking dogs, building a beauty therapy client base, selling handmade products or turning a hobby into a business, finding your first customers can feel daunting.
Maybe social media feels overwhelming, you've spent money on ads without seeing results or you're struggling to stand out from similar local businesses. With limited time and money, it's hard to know what to try next.
That's where I can help. I'll make marketing feel a bit less overwhelming and help you focus on the things that could actually make a difference.
Marketing Advice Session
Not sure where to start? Let's figure it out.
£125 for 60 minutes
Maybe you've started a business and don't know how to find customers. Maybe you've been posting on social media for months and nothing's happening. Or maybe you've got a few ideas but aren't sure where to spend your time or money.
For £125, we'll spend an hour talking through your business, what's working, what's frustrating you and what you could do differently. I'll follow up with three practical things you can focus on next.
- A 60-minute one-to-one video call
- A brief review of your current marketing or business idea using information you send me beforehand
- Practical advice tailored to your business, budget and experience
- Three recommended next steps sent by email after the call
A useful standalone session, not a sales call. No ongoing commitment and no obligation to buy another service.

Example of what could be included
- 01
A 90-minute discovery session
Face to face in an agreed Glasgow or Edinburgh location, or online. We'll talk through your business, customers, products, goals, competitors and what success looks like for you.
- 02
A four-week Meta advertising test
Run on Facebook and Instagram with an objective that suits your goals. That might be enquiries, awareness, engagement or relevant followers.
- 03
52 Facebook and Instagram posts
Captions with simple accompanying graphics, or recommendations for images you already have.
- 04
Up to 12 community group promotions
Local Facebook groups and online communities are often where people ask for exactly what you offer. I'll find the groups your customers are already in, check their rules and post about your business for you, or reply where someone is looking for a recommendation. I'll only do this where the group allows it and it's a genuine fit.
- 05
A 45-minute handover
We'll sit down together and go through what happened: what your ads and posts did, what the numbers show and what I'd suggest doing next. I'll also show you how to keep using the content library yourself, so you're not back at square one when the month ends.
How the month could work
Week 1
Discovery session, ideally in person. You give me information and photos, I plan the campaign and content.
Week 2
You review the content and advertising plan and send one set of combined changes. Ads go live once you approve, targeted at the people most likely to buy from you rather than random followers.
Weeks 2 to 4
Your ads run and I check them regularly, adjusting the targeting and budget so the money goes where it's working. Your social media posts are scheduled to go out automatically. Where it's a good fit, I'll also post about your business in local Facebook groups and online communities your customers already use.
Week 5
Handover session with results and next steps.
Timings depend on approvals arriving on time.
The small print, in plain English
- You'll need to send me business information and any photographs you have by the agreed deadlines.
- One consolidated round of content revisions is included.
- Custom photography, filming, advanced video editing and complex graphic design are NOT included.
- I cannot promise follower numbers, sales, leads or advertising results.
- Community group promotion only happens where a suitable opportunity exists.
Is this right for me?
If you're selling something you make or a service you offer and marketing keeps falling to the bottom of the list, then probably yes. It works well for hustles like:
- Home bakers
- Dog walkers
- Beauty professionals
- Local craftspeople
- Independent tutors
- People starting a service business
Questions people usually ask
I run businesses too, so I get it.
Alongside my marketing career, I run two Scottish businesses of my own. So when I talk about finding customers, keeping on top of social media or deciding where to spend money, it's not just something I've learned from working with clients. It's something I deal with in my own businesses too.
I know what it's like to fit marketing around customer enquiries and the day-to-day work, with limited time and a budget that needs to count.
Not sure what help you need? That's absolutely fine.
Tell me a little about your business and what's frustrating you. I'll let you know whether I think I can help and what I'd recommend. No pressure to book a package.
